Little Oakley Football Club is a football club based in Little Oakley, Essex, England. They are currently members of the Essex Senior League and play at the Memorial Ground.

History
Despite evidence of a football club in Little Oakley prior to World War I, the club were founded in 1947 as Little Oakley War Memorial. In 1974, the club changed their name to the current guise of Little Oakley.

The club was promoted as champions of the Essex and Suffolk Border League in 2017, joining the Eastern Counties League. It was the club's fifth Premier Division title.

In 2021 the club were promoted to the Essex Senior League based on their results in the abandoned 2019–20 and 2020–21 seasons.

Ground
Following the club's promotion to the Eastern Counties League, the War Memorial Ground required several upgrades. The ground was enclosed and the pitch surrounded with railing and hardstanding. Floodlights were installed, with a small, covered stand built at the clubhouse end.

There's really no contest when it comes to danger men for The Acorns and the danger men are Harry Mann and Dan Rowe. Harry has 19 goals and Dan has 8 and they’ve been on target recently as shown in the scores above. In fact, if one of those two doesn't score, neither do Little Oakley. Well, not if recent games tell the story anyway. So, if either or both play, watch out!

Harry and Dan are pictured below so you know who you're looking for…

This season, back in September on the 19th. The Bridge went to Little Oakley Memorial Ground on a Tuesday night and won 2-1 in front of an attendance of 64. Two quick goals from Michael Osei (10) and Michael Agboola (12) and a reply from Rory Harmen (I know, not Harry or Dan!) saw The Bridge take the three points...a repeat of that victory would be nice.

Previously postponed due to Little Oakley’s Essex Senior Cup commitments, the worry this time round is the weather. If it actually stops raining for once we may be OK but the forecast isn’t good, so keep an eye on the social media outlets for further information as it happens.

If the game does go ahead, it’s an opportunity for a Bridge home win that could take us up to 7th, depending on other results, and what Halstead Town do at FC Clacton if that one goes ahead. Fingers crossed for a dry Monday and Tuesday and a bit of sunshine would be nice but admittedly, unlikely. In that case…
There remains just one thing left to say….
