Well, still the weather was the winner in most cases as most teams' matches were off but not in Pitsea where the weather couldn't beat 4G...and The Bridge couldn't beat Hashtag but not a lot of teams can at the moment as they historically won game number 11 in a row!

Chris Brown and his team not only enjoyed the 7-1 victory but the friendly attitude of their opponents and the parents and officials. Nice to hear, as Chris says, that's not always the case! To top it all Rod Stewart turned up, even if the boys didn't know who he was and two of Chris's lads got hat-tricks..what a day!

This time last year The Bridge were doing this...
And Finally...
So, The Bridge finally got back into action (as mentioned elsewhere) and it was another good week for The Gunners who passed the test that was an in form Marcus Rashford-inspired Man U. Eddie Nketiah was the last-minute hero as the leaders kept up their title tilt in a match, I as a neutral, really enjoyed.
City kept their part of the bargain to keep the chase going thanks to mine & Stokesy's favourite striker grabbing a hat-trick (Haaland obvs.)
Score watch
There weren't too many matches in the ILN as most were p all draws, so it was a minimalist score watch this week with our result at # and Tilbury's draw at New Salamis bothering the league positions. Tilbury's 90th-minute equaliser moved them up to 15th as The Bridge dropped to 17th....arghhhh!
This weekend's "How are they doing?" matches are:
A Basildon win at Coggeshall
A draw between GWR and Gorleston
East Thurrock United to win at M & T
Felixstowe & Walton United to win at Tilbury and Bury Town to win at Witham
and then it all goes on, on Tuesday night...
draws for Gorleston v Witham and GWR v Tilbury and a Wroxham win at M & T please.
Oh, and 6 points for The Bridge v Heybridge & Brentwood...nice!
Meanwhile, in other news, the United Kingdom is anything but United as strikes continued. I can't keep up but train drivers, nurses, postal workers, teachers (I'm sure there are more), and even Amazon workers, although, presumably, if they are Prime Workers they will still arrive for work next day!
That's all folks...enjoy the two matches & COYB!
